The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) started in January 2014 and provides benefits for basic dental services for eligible children between the ages of 2 - 17 years.

The Child Dental Benefit is capped at $1,000 per child over a two (2) calendar year period. It is means tested, which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment.

The benefit provides a range of services including examination, xrays, cleaning, fissure sealants, fillings, root canals and extractions. Benefits not available are orthodontics, cosmetic dental work or any services provided in a hospital.

Market Square Dental Group is BULK BILLING eligible children directly to Medicare so there will be no out of pocket expense.
